Prodrive-tuned Isuzu Rodeo

Think Prodrive and tuning and the chances are you're already dreaming of a Subaru Impreza with some loony mods.

But no. Here we have the latest product of the tuning might at Prodrive and it's an Isuzu Rodeo pick-up truck.

Working their magic on the 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine, Prodrive's engineers have upped power from 136 to 167bhp. Torque takes a jump from 217 to 293lb ft.

That means 0-62mph drops by, and hang on to your hard hats here, 1.1 seconds to a shattering 11.7 seconds.

The performance is so wild that top speed has had to be limited to 102.5mph.

Sales of the Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE with Prodrive Performance Pack, to give the pick-up its full title, start in June and prices begin at £19,999.

May we recommend a Subaru Impreza instead?
