Renault Clio SportTourer news - Clio puts the boot in - 2007

Just a quick 'un for a sunny Friday afternoon - before you leave your offices for a friendly game of park cricket or drink yourself into a dizzy, lobster-hued and dehydrated stupor - as Renault has snuck us over a couple of shots of its upcoming Clio SportTourer.

It's the Clio estate, in other words - due to be formally unveiled at (yes, you guessed it) Frankfurt in production guise.

Aiming squarely at the Peugeot 207SW, the SportTourer is 5cm longer than its Pug rival and looks to have the edge on bootspace as well.

We reckon it looks pretty sorted, too - if anything, better than the Grand Tour Concept we saw back in Geneva earlier this year.

Sadly there's no word on a 197 Cup version yet... but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

The SportTourer is due to reach the UK next March. Just in time for a new season of drunken park cricket.
