Saab Turbo X

Saab is going back into the black with a limited edition special to celebrate 30 years of knocking out cars with turbochargers.

The Turbo X is based on the 9-3, with its name recalling the Black Turbo models of the 1970s and 80s.

There will only be 2,000 built and all will come with unique black-paint-and-trim combo.

Four-wheel drive is standard alongside the 2.8-litre V6 engine, which is likely to remain in normal 280bhp tune rather than the rumoured 300bhp.

Expect a few extra goodies to be thrown in with the Turbo X, including a revised front spoiler.

No word on prices, but the Turbo X will be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt motor show.
