Ferrari California Michael Schumacher news - Schumi and Cali - 2008

So Michael Schumacher has been wheeled out to promote the new Ferrari California.

Hardly a surprise, that - Ferrari do like to get Big Schu in front of the camera when there's a new product they want to flog.

We're told that Schumacher is 'currently completing the track and road development stages of the California' and has been 'optimising the performance parameters' of the 4.3-litre V8.

This may well be true.

However, we can't help wondering whether Schumi's time might be better spent developing another bright red V8-ed Ferrari - the one that has mysteriously lost all its pace in the last month.

Mr Domenicali would surely agree.

Unless of course it's just the drivers being a bit rubbish.
