We like mad, futuristic concepts. Mad, futuristic concepts that look a bit like a hot-rodded KTM X-Bows. Mad, futuristic concepts that make absurdly ambitious claims about technology and performance.
So we very much like the Sunbeam Tiger LSR Tribute, a mad, futuristic concept from British designer Ryan Skelley. It's named after the inter-war race car that set a new land speed record of 145mph back in 1925, and it's a vision of what a road-going roadster might look like in 2025.
So, naturally, it's electric. Powered by lithium titanate batteries, to be precise, and capable of hitting 60mph in 2.3 seconds and a top speed of 160 while - ready for this? - managing a range of 800 miles. Hmm.
Let's not be sceptical. Who knows what advances in battery technology might take place over the next 16 years? After all, who in 1993 could have predicted the rise of, er, the mighty G-Wiz?
Easy Tiger
Brit designer dreams up electric roadster for 2025. The future’s bright, etc

Faster to 60 than a Bugatti, and 800 miles range! that sums it up really.

Looks like a cross-breed between a KTM X-bow and an Ariel Atom.

It might manage 800 miles if it somehow charges itself, and being lightweight, enough power could propel it to 60 that fast, what with instant torque from the motor. It could happen... right?

Urmm... does anybody know how much cocaine this guy had had. "I'm going to make an electric car, and yes! It's going to accelerate faster than a Bugatti Veyron! It will also go 800 miles before recharging". What are they going to do? stick a whopping tall pole on top of it in the hope of getting lightning to hit it? Sure, it would recharge the car. Burns your passenger to a crisp at no extra fee... I think I've just spoke myself into buying one...

Looks rather like a Lotus 7 would look in Tron.
