So, did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?
The Steelers of Pittsburgh took on the Packers of Green Bay by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big ‘H'. It was a most ripping game!
During this contest, some adverts happened, two of which caught our eye for being quite awesome.
Chrysler rocked the ‘we're from Detroit and we're hard' line with a cameo from one of its favourite sons, while Mercedes enlisted the help of P Diddy and a pantheon of classic models to preview the next generation of German machines. One of which, if you're keen of eye, is the SLS AMG roadster...
Waste some minutes of your life and watch the clips. Then click here to see what a man called Clarkson thought of the standard Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.
In other ad-type news, Dita Von Teese and a footballer are both starring in the new UK ad for the Renault Clio. Pics here, if you want to like, look at them.

I liked the Chrysler commercial. It's just too bad that the new 200 is nothing more than a re-badged Sebring, which was nothing more than a re-badged Cirrus. So more than likely it will still be a horrible car. The Mercedes commercial was also well done, but who can truly afford one without going into debt for many, many years other than someone like P-Diddy.

"This is the Motor City. This is what we do." In case you didn't get the memo, Detroit is poised to make better cars than ever. Detroit will rise again, because its people are determined to do so. We will give the world what the Europeans don't -- affordable, quality luxury that performs. Take the 2012 from any of the Big Three for a test drive when the time comes and see for yourself. How can I say this? Because my family has been in the Detroit auto industry for generations. Big things are coming, and this commercial is a sneak peak.

Ford is about the only one of the Big three that's doing something right. They've improved their quality, but Chrysler is a long way off and GM has some promise but needs to use better materials for their interiors. It's sad when foreign owned car makers produce more of their cars sold in America in America. My Silverado was made in Mexico but my civic was made in Ohio and Sonata in Alabama.
