The strict tutelage of director Michael Bay demands an adherence to the enshrined principle of Blowing Stuff Up.
However, filming for his latest flick, Transformers 3 (due July 2011), has taken this dictum a little too literally.
While filming a scene with everyone's favourite little Camaro - 'Bumblebee' - a police car responding to a call cut across the set and straight into the path of the accelerating Chevy. They merged.
The police officer in the SUV was taken to a nearby hospital but released without serious injury, while the Camaro was stretchered off.
Watch the video below. It's like, total Bay-hem! It's Bay-os! It's a Bay-lure!
Seriously though, we do enjoy explosions and fire and blowing stuff up, occasionally. But how can Michael Bay - director of those Bergman-esque masterpieces Bad Boys and Armageddon - possibly top the vehicular death of Transformers 2?

most people i spoke to thought transformers 2 was too long winded, too long, too complicated.though that doesn't mean the transformers weren't any good.

Oops, obviously didn't take a leaf out of The Matrix's book and build your own 8 lane highway to do stunts on. Barely a scratch on the cop SUV! A Panda car wouldn't have survived.

Ha i like how they covered the camaro to presumably stop press catching sight of the new car. But sorry we all saw it. I like the new spoiler and black alloys. Also Its true that if it would have been a panda car the cop car would have been written off. A nice show of how americans like everything bigger and better.
