Ferrari GT news - Bring it on, California - 2008

If the California doesn't quite float your boat - roof up or roof down - here's another take on the Ferrari GT formula from Turkish designer Ugur Sahin.

This is the USD GT-S, a concept based on the Ferrari 599 that attempts to recreate the spirit of the original Dino.

Whether it does or not, we'll leave up to you, but there's no doubting it's a sorted little design - we especially like that monster bonnet scoop.

Sahin is currently working on a production version of another of his designs - a Corvette Z06-based grand tourer - and says that the GT-S could also reach a limited production run if there's sufficient demand.

Of course, you'll have to sacrifice your 599 if you want one. But you know what they say: you can't make an omelette without hacksawing an Italian exotic to pieces...
