Vauxhall VXR8 too wimpy for you? Fancy a bit more beef on your Aussie thunder saloon? No problem, cos those lairy chaps at Vauxhall have just released this limited-edition Bathurst S model, with a dirty great supercharger bolted onto its V8. Now that’s what we call manly.
As is often the case with quick Vauxhalls, Walkinshaw Performance have chipped in, this time with a power upgrade to take the standard car’s already impressive 431bhp up to a stonking 560bhp, helped obviously by that supercharger – a combo that’ll unleash havoc on your ears as you let it rip.
Talking of noise, you can also spec a ‘bi-model’ exhaust, which gives you two noise settings: ‘Street’, which sounds like hoodie-speak, but is acually the neighbour-friendly choice, for when you arrive home after a late-night thrash, and ‘Optimum’ if you feel like creating aural carnage in your neck of suburbia. Noise police take note – this thing needs an ASBO.
We want one just for that exhaust alone, and we’d probably be calling in our deposit if something else from the Vauxhall stable has distracted us a little more this morning…

Actually the styling is spot on. Not too showy to attract plod, but not too subtle either, just right. If you want more bling buy it in a bright colour and put drug dealer alloys on it, I'm having mine in charcoal grey and debadged..........

I was just wondering, what the heck is a barf herst? You said that people go to some barf herst place and race holdens and fords, but the main holden vs ford race in Australia is actually at Bathurst (Ba as in bat, not bath as in barf).

what a noise this beast makes!!!! words dont describe it! when hamster was giving it a thrashing you could see the enjoyment he was having,or as jezza would say,having a "crisis". it looks the part to,probably looks better in black though.theres no point in ford even trying to do better,theres a credit crunch happening and they should save they're cash
