Volkswagen has opened the order book on its Eos convertible.
The starting price is £19,385 for the four-seat coupe-convertible Eos and the first customers will receive their cars in July.
The roof takes just 25 seconds to fold away and leaves a 205-litre boot when stored.
There are two trim levels on offer, and standard spec includes air-conditioning, alloy wheels, a CD player, and front and side airbags.
The Sport trim upgrades to 17in alloy wheels, sportier suspension and aluminium dash trim.
To begin with, customers can order the 2.0-litre FSi petrol engine with 148bhp or 197bhp, and the 2.0 turbodiesel, which produces 138bhp.
In the autumn of 2006, there will also be the option of a 1.6-litre FSi with 113bhp and a 247bhp, 3.2-litre V6.
The 148bhp, 2.0-litre petrol-engined model starts at £20,765 and the V6 tops things off at £27,995.
