Forgive the slightly shonky quality of the photo, but we didn’t think we could let this one pass without a quick mention.
Remember that Golf W12 concept that Jeremy drove a couple of series back? The 650bhp monster with a Bentley-sourced 6.0-litre engine stuck where the rear seats should be?
Watch Clarkson drive the mental Golf.
Well, now you can buy it. Sort of. This is Exclusive World Tuning’s Golf W12, yours for a mere 12,000 Euros plus donor MkV Golf. A bargain, given that it’s identical in every way to the genuine VW concept… er, apart from the fact that you don’t get a W12 engine. Or 650bhp. Or any more speed whatsoever. Probably a bit less, in fact, with all that extra plastic everywhere.
Yes, it’s a bodykit. Quite an impressive bodykit, but a bodykit nonetheless. Whatever engine is in your three-door Golf when you hand it over to EWT – well, that’s the engine it’s coming back with. Your 79bhp 1.4-litre four-pot petrol might feel a bit inadequate.
Still, top marks for ambition, EWT. What next, guys? An Audi R8 based on a Ford Cougar? Oh…
The same in every way...
Apart from one. EWT’s Golf W12 will fool the world until you start it up

That is a really cool golf, the amount of BHP is astonishing its got just as much as a Ferrari Enzo! And less cheaper! But in the video when Jeremy drove it, it was Terrible through the corners.

I love the car - but something about the side profile that makes it look like it is bent up at the front from the axle!?

Ugly, what all the kids in LA and Chelsey , with the backwards baseball caps, would like to drive. Show up with that at open track day and watch all the REAL car drivers laugh at this ugly thing, same as the plastic-crusted S2000's and Civcs you see already. If your goning to take the effort to put into production the golf W12, keep the good engine and suspension and all the other good bits....
