Video: worst parking ever?
It's turning into a good week for world-beating YouTube clips.
First off we showed you a strong contender for the world's greatest drift video, and yesterday we discovered Barry Meade, the man who might very well be the world's greatest co-driver.
And now here's a heavy favourite for Worst Bit of Parking in The History of The World Ever.
Even worse than the awful, awful mess that the Canadian X5 driver makes of the parked cars is her (for it is indeed a her) post-crash reaction: sit very still for 30 seconds or so - presumably turning a disturbing shade of whitish green - before blazing out the car park before anyone notices.
We're told that the hapless parker was tracked down and will appear in court in early December. Can anyone suggest a decent defence to get her off the hook? Anyone?

Good thing they found her and will drag her to court. I have returned to my parked car only to find it damaged and/or vandalized a few times, and boy did it make my blood boil. Seeing this video makes me want to run over her car with a tank. I hope that will be judges' ruling as well.

That's about right. Over here in the States women in SUVs are the most dangerous things on the road. Teenagers getting stoned while driving are less dangerous, and that's not a joke. If you come here and see a woman in an SUV, run and climb a tree. I have had four wrecks involving other cars in my life, all of them were being-rear ended at a stoplight by a woman in an SUV. Just some friendly travel advice.

I live not too far from where this happened, the best part is how she got caught. She obviously didn't stay around for the accident, but went back to the place a few days later. Someone recognized the car and reported it. If you're going to run from the scene of an accident, why come back?

It is perfectly reasonable for the X5 to do that. All she had to have was enough momentum so when she hit the concrete parking block, it popped the front end up and the forward momentum sent her on top of the cars' hoods. Just an engineering/physics view of it...but she could definitely claim her cell phone rang and she just "had to answer it" because her kid was home sick or something...

If I'm honest 4x4 drivers are turning into truck drivers (in the way of pulling out at the last minute), for example this fool in a BMW X6 flashed his/her lights at my mum while we were going home behind her, is that illegal? MrWizard - Remember, this is a useless woman driver. In defence of some women drivers, Michelle Mouton... er, oh yeah, and My Wife, some are pretty good, ahem. Also, thanks for the car park CCTV. MrWizard, I've seen better car parks than this in the UK and still no camera's for exactly this kind of entertaining event. I bet the owners of the two cars, upon their return, were well pissed off. I too have been the victim of a crazed woman driver. I mistakenly followed her into a car park, whereupon she decided to reverse into the front left of my car! My hand pressed the horn so much I thought I was going to break it. Did she hear it, did she stop, did she apologise? You guessed it, did she heck. I was lucky however that I had full left lock on as I was still in the entrance to the car park and blocked from behind by a sensible safe bloke driver who was very supportive of my plight. In the words of René Artois from Allo Allo, 'You Stupid Woman!'

The courts will have a field day, but at the end of it all, she will plea guilty to a reduced charge...Failing to report an accident is the most likely. Having said that, its her insurance that is going to hurt her the most...little known fact, and I suggest everyone reads their policy: if you fail to remain at a scene of an accident, with the exception of being carted away to hospital, your insurance is null and void, meaning you are liable for the entire cost. I can only imagine that her attempts to get new insurance following this will be very costly indeed.

The blue car that was run over by the maniac was an '04 Hyundai Elantra GT. In a local news story, Hyundai replaced the destroyed Elantra with a brand new Elantra Tourer as a random act of kindness. I know what this is. He's driving an X5 so he's probably a drug kingpin and he just wrecked the two cars belonging to people who refused to pay up. Or he thought he could do anything he wanted to do anywhere he wanted to do it, including driving on other cars just because he had a BMW. Who said X5s don't go off road! Similar thing happened in Belfast last year when, you guessed it, a woman in a Lexus SUV wasn't used to the auto box put it in the wrong gear and ended up on top of a Porsche and another car.
