If you are - as the Zenvo ST1 claims to be - Denmark's first supercar, you want to do the job properly. Uphold national pride and all that.
Which is why, if you are Denmark's first supercar, you should not limit yourself to either a turbocharger or a supercharger. If you are Denmark's first supercar, you need both.
You need 1,104bhp of supercharged, turbocharged 7.0-litre V8 nestling in the middle of an angular, over-the-top lump of supercar.
Yes, 1,104bhp. That's what Zenvo Automotive, the Danish demons behind the ST1, claim to have squeezed from the Corvette-derived engine, which can run on standard petrol or E85 biofuel.
All that power batters the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, though Zenvo says it is working on a flappy-paddle transmission that can deal with the monstrous torque. Good luck, gents.
Zenvo plans to build just 15 ST1s, but has not yet announced a price. We're guessing this means they'll be Really Really Cheap. Yep, definitely cheap...

They're a bit late. As far as I'm aware, Bugatti have already decided that their 1001 hp in the veyron is insufficiet and are making a 1350hp version. 1104. pitiful.

Also, @Ironical Balls - they mentioned the SSC a couple of times on this site and it was in the news on one TV episode, where they decided it would just be a plastic wedge that's very good at drag racing, and be nowhere near the Veyron as a car, only on a straight. As for the, ahem, BRITISH Keating TKR, I saw it at MPH09 - it's just a mass of plagiarism, all Saleen S7 at the front and all Zonda at the back, and all they've done is mod the hell out of a Corvette Z06 engine. Nothing compared to a Veyron, Koenigsegg or McLaren F1.

Actually for a supercar its rather nice and restrained, bar the running boards anyway. Hope it goes like it sounds like it should, and handles well enough to put that power to good use.

Looks really great! Love the i-don't-like-you-very-much front end of the car. Really has the looks of a modern super car, however it has one big problem in my eyes, the name is just not cool :S It's actually horrible.

Im glad its not after the ridiculous battle for top speed. If you think a mclaren f1 is not fast enough flat out then buy a bloody plane!! it'd be cheaper too. As for the SSC Aero TT and the Keating TKR, why not as popular as the veyron? Because we DONT CARE, its irrelevant. And neither look or have the prestige the the veyron or mclaren have, which with a supercar is half the battle. Also im willing to bet that the engine life on those will be pretty short. At least this car might actually go around corners properly, which is where the fun is anyway.

Keating is pumping out 1800hp. That's 800 more than the Veyron. Another thing. The Keating and SSC were tested at Bonneville, which sure as hell has more prestige than any track or road in Dubai. And it's record run was on salt, which means it would go even faster than the SSC and since it's using a V8 it has a better hp/l than the Veyron. Veyron is great fore old bald Singapore buisness men. But for car enthusiasts the Keating and SSC are the true monsters behind the curtains. Look how the British shop beat the FXX by a second at the TG track.

mathur123 it's true the ugly Bug will have a tough time if Zenvo's superturbo system were hooked to the V12 but the real problem is where the hell would Zenvo guys find one?... It's costly to develop complex V12...If Zenvo turned out to Fezza/Lambo guys...I'm sure as hell they wouldn't give Danish a chance....plus only 15 ST1 are going to be build...so there's no way they could recoup the R&D cost of V12...cheers

I saw this car in its concept stages, and believe me when i say this once the official spec is revealed this could be a serious contender to knock bugatti. I dont think bugatti will rein top for long the TKR and this will in my opinion be the bugatti killer

Looks fab! But will it handle corners? The fact that they still haven't fitted an auto transmission and paddles, makes me wonder what kind of suspension and brakes are on this thing.
