Artist builds vehicles out of bones
Jitish Kallat sculpts vehicles to look like creepy prehistoric skeletons. Well, who doesn't?

According to the official art-blurb, Jitish Kallat's refashioned car carcasses "can be seen as carrying, even through a playful approach, a broad and deep inclination of extinction and death".
We're rubbish at artspeak, so we have no idea what that means. But we do know that the Indian artist's latest work - life-size skeleton things made from resin, paint and steel - references his photographs of cars, trucks, bicycles, and buses that have been set alight during riots. And that they look incredibly creepy.
Unveiled at the Art Stage Singapore, Kallat describes them as ‘grotesque, burlesque and arabesque in equal measure'. We're inclined to agree. Though still less harrowing than the Youbian Puma...
