Ssangyong e-XIV concept lands
Holy smokes! A pretty car from the famously divisive car brand...

Back in late 2005, Jeremy announced the year's ugliest cars for our Top Gear Awards special. They were, ahem: the Ssanygyong Kyron, the Ssanygyong Rodius, and the Ssanygyong Musso.
So when an email from Ssanygyong popped into our inbox, proudly announcing its e-XIV (for eXciting user Interface Vehicle, apparently) electric car concept, we expected to see... our breakfasts again. But everything stayed in. Because this thing's actually really very pretty.
The crossover utility vehicle's a range extender EV - that means it's self-charging, like the brilliant Vauxhall Ampera and marginally less brilliant Hammerhead Eagle i-Thrust. And look at it!
It's 4,160mm long, 1,790mm wide, 1,575mm high, and with a 2,600mm wheelbase. The glass roof's just for fun, but those solar cell panels supply pollution free energy to the battery. That's all we know so far, but there'll be more when it's unveiled at the 2012 Paris motor show.
Reckon we'll see more prettiness from Ssangyong?
