Get the timing right with the weight transfer, and you don't actually have to steer the car with the steering wheel at all - you just play with the throttle and use the camber of the road and weight of the car to sweep yourself into line. The faster you go, the smoother it is, and the longer you can hold glorious - and decidedly proper - four-wheel drifts. It's almost serene.
It's also a properly nice place to be. Despite all the plumbed-in subtle visual belligerence, this is no pared-back semi-racer. Inside, it may be all po-faced black leather, but spend some time, and you'll start to feel like you're in a shrunken A8. The seats are beautiful. There's a proper info system, xenon lights, auto aircon, keyless ignition, electric everything, a mobile wi-fi hotspot (yes, really) and even a 465-Watt, 14-speaker B&O sound system. Which - if you get bored of the raspy twittering of the engine itself, sounds colossal in such a small space.
