A tiny 249 bhp A1 quattro. Excited? You should be.

So. The new A1 quattro is a bit like the Stig. Relatively small, comparatively unassuming, very white. Doesn't say much. But then, without so much as a by-your-leave, it'll roll out onto a race track and do the most incredible things. Things which make you fall in love with it, even though that love makes you uncomfortable, and is something you will never talk about in the company of your friends.

There'll only be a couple of dozen of the 333 worldwide examples heading to the UK, all with the same spec, costing about £45,000. Which sounds like a hell of a lot for an Audi A1. But pretty bloody cheap for a junior supercar.
