‘M’ celebrates its 40th birthday this month.

No, not the 13th letter of the alphabet (that’s probably a lot older), nor Dame Judi Dench (and as gentleman we offer no comment on a national treasure's time on this earth), but the division that make BMWs go fast.

And with a stellar lineage of road cars weaned from repetitive wins on the race track, what better time to get the big red book out and tell M’s life story…
