Standard coupe, monster V8 DTM car and now MotoGP safety car: here’s your complete guide

What has the current UK labour market got to do with the new BMW M4? Well, using a spurious Top Gear analogy, both show signs of wanting to hold down a job. In the latter's case, holding down many jobs.
It was only last December we saw the new BMW M4 Coupe in final production guise. Exactly three months later, we find the very first production car has been built for sale - and built back in Munich, the first time in 23 years an M car has been built there - and it's taken on two more roles on the side to keep itself busy.
Not only will the production car have a tough time in the new world of sportscars - what with the new Lexus RC-F about to burst through, to name one - but its brother will be fighting in the German touring car championship with a socking great V8, and its other sibling will be making sure those MotoGP chaps behave themselves. So, count ‘em: three months into its short life and it's already a production car, DTM challenger and MotoGP safety car.
To make it even simpler, we have compiled pictures of its many jobs in one handy place, so have a click through and see which one you think it will be best as.
