This is a £6k Bugatti
Limited edition run of hand-built replica racers has been put on sale. They’re TINY
Posted: 23 Feb 2012
This is a replica of a 1930s Bugatti Type 52. And it is yours for the literally bargain price of £5,995.
It has been hand-built, features hand-shaped aluminium coachwork, rich leather seats and even comes with a serial number and certificate of production. It's a faithful recreation of the original Type 52, of which just 499 were built between 1927 and 1936, used, as we are told, "as playthings as well as serious racing among the children of the European elite."
Confused? Well chums, the original Type 52 was actually a scaled-down version of the Type 35 GP racer of the 1920s and 1930s, built for rich kids with expensive tastes. The first was actually gifted to Ettore Bugatti's five-year old son, Roland.
Now you can bestow your tiny human with the gift of a Bugatti. It measures 196cm x 70cm, and is therefore TINY. Yours for six grand, available in red or blue. Click through for more pics of this. There's even an original up for auction next month...
