Cadillac CTS-V racer hits the track

Caddy’s GT racer makes its track debut as testing begins in Florida, ahead of March race debut

Posted: 20 Jan 2011

The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe race car has undergone its first proper track test.

Remember, this is the coupe which returns Caddy to the Sports Car Club of America World Challenge series, where it competed in 2004-2007.

Drivers Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O'Connell strapped themselves into the hot seat for a thorough ragging session at Sebring a couple of days ago, ahead of its debut in St. Petersburg on March 25-27. Power output for the GT series is between 425bhp and 525bhp, so performance will be quite fiery.

You might think, ‘yeah, SCCA, so what?' Well friend, take a quick swig of these pics and you'll see something quite beastly indeed...

Now share it
