You spend more time looking them than any other bit of your car, but how often do we really consider the humble speedometer?
To celebrate their centenary, General Motors have released this evocative series of speedos from pre-war to the present day, and it’s prompted a morning of debate on the TG.com desk. What were the best?
A quick straw poll reveals a lingering fondness for the Reventon’s jet-fighter, the classic sideways-scroller on American muscle , the art-deco fonts on the Chevrolet Fleetline, the Koenigsegg CCX, even the soothing blue-drenched futurism on the Honda CR-Z, with raspberries for AMG's italic font and the new Mini.
