To celebrate the Golf GTI's 35th birthday, VW tickled it with the tune-up stick and created this - the Edition 35, which you can read all about here. And they've also built a roofless Golf R concept, which you can read more about here. 

And, on this very day at Wörthersee GTI Treffen in Austria - which you can see more of here - they're being shown off to hordes of VW extremists.
