Power to the people

Then let's look at the boot. It's huge, and the rear seats fold down so that at a garden centre you're not restricted to buying forget-me-nots because that's all that'll fit. You can even buy a ludicrous gas-powered barbecue that you'll never use, which isn't possible if you have a Ferrari.
Then there's the ride home. I'm not going to suggest that all the torque steer has gone, but most of it has and that, in a front-drive car with 301 bhp under the bonnet, is remarkable.
What's more remarkable is what happens when an M3 latches onto your tail. The electronic nanny will step in and call a halt to his progress at 155. You will be able to sail on, with your barbecue in the boot, all the way up to 163.
And his car won't be bright green either.
