TG drives Maserati’s GranCabrio
Maserati's GranCabrio is more than a match for the beauties of Rome. Well, apart from the women...

Maserati being Maserati, though, there's a fair bit of madness too. Sitting in a cabin that fuses a chocolate brown dash with tan leather interior trim is rather like sitting in a giant Mars Bar. But it works. More prosaically, some of the interior plastics feel a bit cheap, and the indicator and wiper stalks don't glide so much as snap, crackle and plop. Crucially, however, the GranCabrio comfortably outflanks its German rivals in terms of sheer charisma. And that charisma alone is worth about 90 of the rather hefty £95,630 the Maser costs.
