Joy of souks: new Jag XJ hits Morocco
Top Gear magazine’s new longterm XJ subjected to the ultimate initiation: Africa's High Atlas mountains

This Jag, big thing that it is, feels delightfully light and twinkle-toed. The wheelbase allows it to suck the gradients away into the shocks, keeping the body level, the steering remarkably intense for a big limo. I stick it into ‘track' mode for a while, watch the dials turn an angry red, and marvel at the kind of speedy fun you can have a) from a big saloon b) from a diesel and c) from a boonies road in Africa. Just as I start thinking about bringing a set of supercars to the last place on Earth you'd think of, I enter a streambed. At speed.
