Koenigsegg Agera R hits Geneva
Top Gear’s Hypercar of the Year just got a little bit more hyper: meet the Agera ‘R’
Posted: 05 Sep 2011
What makes a loud, shouty and obscenely powerful hypercar even better? Simples: make it louder, shoutier and even more obscenely powerful. This is the Agera ‘R'.
The one you see pictured above is a customer car (production number 83, since you asked), ready to make its debut at the Geneva motor show.
The car will sit alongside the production version of the ‘standard' Agera on Koenigsegg's stand, and sports a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine chucking out around 1,115bhp when supping on bio-fuel. It weighs in at just 1,330kg, a Fat Man more than a Ford Fiesta.
This ‘R' version is liveried in a ‘Speed Racer' theme, special Michelin tyres and a Thule Roof Box.
We'll bring you more from Geneva as it drops, but for now, clickety click...
