The year 2020: mankind will be an advanced, interconnected network of organisms sharing a single consciousness which will put an end to war, famine, disease and body odour. "I'm A Celebrity" will not exist, we hope.
But if it does, this future generation of slebs will still need to pop out to buy a loaf or replace the batteries in their laser-controlled robot dogs, and they shall do it in this - the McLaren SUV.
Designed by Turin's Istituto Europeo di Design, the students sat down with real-life McLaren boffins - whose brains are juicier than Jupiter - to hammer out what a mid-engined, four-wheel-drive hybrid SUV for two will look like.
33 designs were whittled down to 11, which then became three concept studies set for 1:14 scale production - the HOLON, the TOROK, and the BIO RENOVATIO.
Have a peek through and see which four-wheeled Sloaney Pony you can imagine cruising the King's Road of the future.
