It gets better, though. Meilenwerk's manager, Yvo Konzag, runs the place very democratically. Anyone can visit, Monday to Sunday, 9 to 5pm. It's free to enter. But, better still, rather than adhering to some dubious auto-apartheid, he is more interested in housing interesting cars than (literally) showcasing the latest big or most valuable thing. "The idea for Meilenwerk came from a German property developer with a passion for classic cars. We're interested in all sorts of cars, not just exotica. The location was found by pure coincidence, and we always try to find an historic building, somewhere of real substance" says Yvo.
