More pictures: Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition
A closer look at a car we're very, very much looking forward to...

Switch roots to FIZZ - Alfa’s just released more pics of the £52,000 Launch Edition 4C, the first incarnation of its really rather lovely sportster. You’ll have first seen the car in detail during our Geneva Motor Show coverage earlier this year, but not in red. Pretty, isn’t it?
So, as a reminder, what d’you get for your money for the Launch Edition? In addition to the normal car’s 237bhp four-pot and 4.5-second 0-62mph time, you get carbonfibre trim, red or white paint, some posh badges, bi-LED lamps, a rear aluminium diffuser and bigger rims.
The Launch Edition also gets an extra sporty suspension setup, as well as colour-coded brake calipers, a rorty exhaust, aftermarket air filter, and new front air intakes. Oh, and if you buy now, you can take part in a special driver training program in Italy.
Otherwise, it’s par for the course. You still get the 1750 TBi engine, TCT dual-clutch transmission and top speed that we’ve been promised is north of 155mph. A confirmed release date is yet to come.
You best be quick, though – only 400 are coming to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. An additional 500 are making their way to the USA and 100 for the rest of the world.
Is this simply a case of shut up and take my money?
