We like festivals. Beer festivals, cheese festivals, beard festivals - if it ends in ‘ival', count us in.
Nothing, however, excites us more than a speed festival. Actually scratch that. What would really excite us is a festival of speedy bearded cheese.
Sadly, that will never exist. But luckily for you, the Goodwood Festival of Speed does, and it kicks off today until Sunday 4 July.
A veritable banquet of automotive righteousness, the Goodwood Festival O' Speed is held on the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex and showcases hot metal on some grass and up a hill. There are cars. There are celebrities. There is much donuting. And there's probably tea.
On the mention of tea, our man Piers Ward set off in search of a cuppa, Lewis Hamilton mug in hand. But he didn't find tea. He found a monster Porsche 908. And then he drove it.
