They cost just £200 when new, but you'd pay about five grand for a good one now, which is a lot of dosh for not a lot of car. And it's hardly one of those classics you could use every day. God knows, I wouldn't want to crash one. But it's hard to see how, on those few occasions when weather and destination made it the right choice, a trip in a Fiat 500 would not make your life a better, happier and somehow slightly more magical experience.
