Hamster has a go in the most expensive Jaguar ever made – the £413k XJ220

It was the result of one of those out-of-hours projects, the kind of thing that, decades earlier, led to the guys at Lamborghini turning out the Miura and inventing the whole concept of a mid-engined supercar. The XJ220 carried its engine in the middle, but never really hit the spot in the same way the Miura did. For a start, that engine was supposed to be a V12 driving all four wheels. Somehow that translated into a V6 powering only the rear wheels. It was a stonking engine though, a 3498cc unit from the XJR-10 with two turbos and good for 542bhp.
