In the first of a new and unlikely series of Drives, Top Gear is going to pedal some entirely daft shit, just to see what it's like. Consider it a sort of holistic approach to test driving, like a restaurant critic who won't put pen to paper until he's eaten everything on the menu. It's very noble of us really.
To the Lincolnshire Fens then, to meet a man called David. In his hands are the keys to a Terragator 8203, costing around £205,000, weighing a whisker shy of nine tonnes and measuring over 11 feet across. And David is about to let Top Gear loose in it on the public road. He's not worried though. Not at all. In fact David is remarkably, almost eerily, calm. But this, it turns out, is because the Terragator actually belongs to Richard, who looks whiter than a starched sheet.
