Europe just isn't long enough for the Lamborghini Aventador - we needed a little more space...

...But it's more than that. There's new breadth and sophistication in its engineering. Its brand-new V12 is compact and light for something so powerful. Its single-clutch transmission uses an entirely new arrangement of its gears and actuators to make something far faster-shifting than the usual single-clutch paddle-shift, yet far smaller and lighter than a DSG.
