Matt Carter has just been crowned the 2011 British Drift Champion. You might remember him and his friend Paul Cheshire: they attempted to teach our useless but enthusiastic TG staffer the noble art of donuting a while back. As you can imagine, many tyres were destroyed. There was much laughter.

This is because Matt is very good at donuting and drifting, and we are not. He entered the drift championship 16 points ahead of his closest rival, and overcame engine problems to net a vital point and claim the overall crown at the finale last weekend in Sunderland. Naturally, he was delighted. 

And we can attest that this donuting lark is jolly good fun. So much so, you might want to take it up yourself. To do that, you'll need a powerful, rear-wheel-drive sportscar to begin with...

So, to celebrate Matt's achievement, here are his and Paul's Top Ten Cars To Go Donuting And Drifting In On A Track Or Other Such Arena.
