The history of Lamborghini isn't worth repeating here, because as paid up members of the Internet Enthusiasts Club, you'll know it already: Ferruccio wanted to outdo Ferrari, created his own brand of supercars, which ended up being renowned for outlandishness and extravagance.
In 2013, the brand celebrated 50 years since Ferruccio Lamborghini made those first tentative steps into the supercar fraternity, which has now entered a new era with the advent of the Lamborghini SUV. Yup, following the wild, angular Urus concept we saw a while back, Lamborghini has confirmed that its efforts will now be poured into a third model, a proper 4x4.
You can read the full story on the upcoming Lambo SUV - scheduled to land at some point in 2018 - here, but suffice to say it'll be a Thing.
After all, the Urus concept it stemmed from was about as wild an SUV as you get, and this from a company that already rolled out the LM002. In fact, the company has form in knocking out wild concept cars, and the advent of a new Lambo is a fine time to relive some of the company's, um, more outlandish moments.
So, strap yourself down and enter the wild world of a Lamborghini designer's mind. It's a scary place...
