However, when you have an 11-litre straight six diesel as your starting point and you're not too worried about emissions, mighty things are possible. 1050bhp for a kick-off. Yes, it has 5.5 tons to shift, but that still gives it a power-to-weight ratio of 191bhp/ton, about the same as our Subaru WRX STi lifer. But the torque, that's the daft one - 603lb ft/ton. A Veyron SuperSport has 602lb ft/ton.
