The world’s best police cars
As UK cops get a McLaren 12C Spider, we round up the fastest ways to get arrested

Those planning a retirement holiday in Marbella after that ‘one last job' should probably thank the heavens that the image above is not representative of an actual police car. It is a McLaren 12C Spider dressed up as a police car.
The 12C Spider has been loaned by McLaren to the West Midlands Police for the Autosport International show at Birmingham's NEC as a demonstrator. BMW also got in on the act and offered up an i3 too, free of charge, for display purposes only.
No doubt it's to encourage a greater discourse between police and motorists, but you have to admit, a 12C Spider in police livery looks quite cool. And a bit scary, not least because underneath the stripes sits a twin-turbo 3.8-litre V8 with 616bhp, and the ability to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.1 seconds (the same as the coupe) and top out at 204mph. So bloody fast, then.
Which got us thinking: is this the world's coolest police car? We've rounded up as many of the planet's finest law enforcement machinery in one handy gallery; all that we request from you fine TopGear.commers is a line on which one is best. And you're completely allowed to choose the 12C Spider. Though we do have to issue a warning: this feature contains a Vitara modified by Richard Hammond. Sorry about that.
*Naturally, there will be some we may have missed that you think deserve a spot in this list. Please feel free to share your wisdom and insight below.
