Likely the most powerful ending I've ever seen on Top Gear or any other program of this kind. Top Gear breaks boundaries every time especially with the Aston Martin clip //Alex (Sweden)

Guys, i'm writing to You from Poland, Top Gear is most popular car tv show in our beautifull country. Recently, You made an advert of VW Sirocco, wich have made in Poland fairly big storm, I mean they are talking aboute it in tv, radio, writing aboute it in press. It all because 4 days ago we had 65th anniversary of rebellion in Warsow, where over 200 000 Polish died. In opinon of most Polish this advert is really funy, but it was not fortunetly time to show it in Tv. Thanks for reading, greetings, Szymon

I'm missing something in the series. When I bought the dutch edition of top gear it said that they were also going to do a test of the r8 v10 and the corvette zr1 a race with airport vehicles or something, what's happened to that?

Dear TopGear Team, Szymon (two comments above) is right that Jeremy?s VW Scirocco ad made a small fuss in Poland. I would not call that ?a storm? but media reaction indicates how popular your show is in Poland and how easily you can get a publicity if you make (IMHO innocuous) joke about Poland and its history. Have you ever considered making an episode in Poland? I?m sure TopGear team can easily come up with some unique race, contest or test scenario and shoot it in Poland (e.g. German armoured limousines race? ;) ) BTW My English is too weak to express my feeling regarding Aston Martin clip. Why are people complaining about the vw ads in this show, I mean, if people are just going to complain that they are offended by the show, why do they keep watching it? If they didn't watch it, they wouuldn't need to complain, problem solved!

@ Fuel1218, At the end of the show Jeremy was saying that he thought the Aston Martin V12 Vantage marked the end of the supercar. He was saying that due to everything going on in the world right now, supercars as amazing and beautiful as the V12 Vantage may be on the verge of dying out completely.

@ PETROLHEAD13, A few weeks ago on the website they said they were slicing the airport vehicle racing from the series for something else... It may be in the next series, I'm not sure. I hope it's joined by the Audi R8 V10 and a Corvette Zr1 =P.

Can't wait for the next series (it's in November incase you where wondering). I absolutely ADORE Top Gear, I buy all the TG Merchandise and am a subscriber to TG Magazine however, I thought the abrupt ending with the V12 Vantage a bit crap and was a bit of a blot on the otherwise hilarious episode with the VW ad. I think the Airport Transport would have been a much more fitting ending to a hectic, and brilliant series and would have nicely carried on the fluidity of these type of races, the motorhome race and then the bus race. But that is a moan and not what Top Gear deserves, it never fails to deliver exceptional entertainment and Andy Wilman, Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow all deserve knighthoods in my opinion. It is astonishing how Top Gear delivers on all fronts, TGTV is brill, TG Magazine is a quality read and this website is nigh on perfect (all it needs a forum, where we all can discuss episodes, cars and the like as well as give back feedback and suggestions). // SaEdAm

@jiimmy - oh but they would still complain. In fact they would complain even if they hadn't seen it and weren't the ones the offence was targeted at. Because these people are offended on another's behalf - someone they condescendingly believe is not able to decide for themselves whether they should be offended. And I find that behaviour rather offensive.

I think for a cheap car challenge the presenters all buy cheap suvs and are given a budget to make it heavily armoured like 'The Beast' and have some cool challenges

In this last episode, Jeremy tells us that this Vantage V12 could be the end of the supercar. I don't think so. Against all 'green' boys/girls, we have science! And this project is very promising. http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/news/2008/january/03010801.asp When this is made on a large scale, there will be plenty of petrol without any greenhouse gas emissions. We only have the 'war against speed thing' (it's bad here in the netherlands), but that's a political issue. So vote for someone who also thinks speed itself doesn't kill, incapable drivers do.

The last test by Clarkson on the Aston v12 Vantage on episode 13 was beautifully shot and probably right in saying the petrol engined car's days are numbered. The music used in the clip was appropriate and I was wondering if it is available to buy. Does anyone know the name to the theme music?

I thought this was really funny! I absoulutly love Aston Martins even though DB9s are my favorite, I loved seeing the vantage. If petrol engined car's, like supercars, days are over then there's no point in being a car fan.

I really enjoyed this episode however I have one bone to pick with it. What was going on with the pronunciation of Bathurst? As an expat Aussie living in England who has attended the famous race on more than one occasion it just made me laugh. You would expect the Rev Heads that work on Top Gear could do their research. It's not Barth-urst (certainly not a roman city or daily hygeine routine). Try using a as in apple (short a). Ba-thurst. Keep up the good work though and I always look forward to the Aussie car reviews, especially the utes, they are unique and beautiful vehicles. Cheers, Kiashi
