I was surprised to hear the hosts not mention Chevrolet Volt when talking about a petrol based electric generator fitted car. Also there is Tesla which was also tested on top gear.

Going on the theme of mobility scooters a man in America was arested for a DUI (driveing under the influence), but instead of driveing a car. He was driveing a mobility scooter that he had improved to the point that it could go at high speeds.
