There is no Jeremy, James or Hamster. The commentary - at least on this preview - is weak and flat. Just doesn't seem like it will be as entertaining, though time will tell.

wow people, lets give this show a chance for cryin out loud. So quick to judge what we have not be exposed to. I bet my ass this will be a huge hit and all the haters will be posted up watching the History Channel when it airs this year and years on.

I think it is pretty decent in both technical and entertaining ways. Yes, they might not have senses of jokes like Jeremy, or they might not have the same or similar way of running the program. But ultimately its American and I believe that the director (who ever that is) should know what their audience want to see and listen in that program. I do want them to respect this original Top Gear, but in the same time they should do what ever they can do with their resources without too much of the tradition. By the way I think they don't have any problems with the visual techniques. I liked the very beginning part of the video; the part that the bull and lambo swaps, that was looks good. sorry if there are any kinds of mistakes.

While I doubt American Top Gear will come close to being the genius that is Clarkson, Hammond, and May, one has to bear in mind that Americans have a different type of collective social consciousness and humour. I hope that this new series will showcase more of the American landscape that I wish the original three could come see (Pacific Coast Highway or North Cascades Highway, anybody?), and have some uniquely American challenges. I'd love to see "why the Toyota Tacoma is a WAY better pickup truck than the stupid Dodge Dakota" or "which is the best minivan to take camping with three kids" or "the best car to have when driving through a snowstorm in Montana"

It's just 2 minuts, but the editing and camera work look good, the bullfighting theme at the beginning was cool. Good soundtrac. The personalities are a bit flat however. Suggestion -- Send the three of them off to Las Vegas for a few weekend outings with the sole mission of gettin drunk and chasing women. That should get these guys to bond a bit and might help their on-camera chemistry. I admit to my share of criticism here and am still skeptical. Challenge to TG US - make me eat my hat...
