The editing in this episode is superb...

This season and the one past have had something you cant quite put your finger on out of place. Well after some thinking and conferring I have finally put my finger on what it is… Most of the challenges you are set follow an all too familiar pattern. Clarkson will predictably be ridiculas and brash with an OTT vehicle, which he almost certainly hit with a hammer. James may will get a classic car or something gentlemanly. And Hammond will get something that will appear funny but will probably let him down half way through. This formula is what makes top gear, but it isn’t like the character base is not established, you guys are probably the most iconic faces on television. In this season just past you three had the challenge, build a motor home and head for Cornwall.

Clarkson had that predictably ludicrous tower on his car. May had a fairly un-functional space/aero pod and Hammond had collection of scrap metal sheets. When I watched this episode I was cringing!! It was too silly to enjoy. That entire challenge looked like it was scripted. I know there is probably an element of the show that is, however this looks so over done. Its like you get told to stand there and do this and then, say that! Then this! Sometimes I feel you guys could diversify with your roles.

Me personally I love top gear and despite the recent shortcomings. The show is probably one of the greatest shows ever to air on British television. The new age top gear is unparalleled by imitation knock-ups like fifth gear. It’s the one television show you can guarantee that you will be discussing discreetly next to the coffee machine out of view of the boss on a Monday morning tea break. The Ayrton Senna tribute was amazing to watch. And made me remeniss back to when was a boy.
