the car is a classic, it´s a shame that was not in good mechanical condition

I want the body then i'll get a High rpm Electric motor then put at least 4 alternators then 2 24 volt batteries on it to make it last longer then Drive it like hell!

I'm from America and the only time I have ever heard of this car was in a video game I used to play. My friends and I called it the Electric shaver... But it truly does have a great unique look to it. If its possible I would love to take the body off this and put an Ariel Atom underneath. Now THAT would bring this Lancia back.

The Stratos is like an Integrale light years ahead of its time.I saw the chequered flag ones rallied in Ireland & they were notoriously difficult to drive unless they were driven agressively.That would be your solution Jeremy.

The Lancia Stratos is a legend in many respects even if you are not a fan of the car or the racing heritage. If you are serious about finding out how one of these cars race, find someone with a Napiersport replica that will allow you to take it on a track day. The Hawk replica by the BBC was not to be used for racing, but was abused by the hooligans at Top Gear knowing full well that the car had issues.

Sure I enjoy the expensive car porn, but how about the amature Franken-Ferraris. They are the ones who keep the faith, even if their patron saint is Wile Coyote. They bare the stigmata of bleeding knuckles for their dreams. Hooray for the loonies, for they are us...middle aged children, the lot.
