Your tribute was deserved by Jaguar. In the USA when I had a 1963 Mark X it was said if you had a Jaguar it would always be in the shop. I went and bought another 1966 Mark X. True to tge saying they always required something. Since 1983 I've had a Series 111 XJ6 which I've spent far more money on than its worth. I've had all kinds of German and Italian cars. To me there is no greater pleasure than driving my Jaguar avoiding the speed cops early in the morning on the open highway listening to the purr of that engine and feeling the sheer joy of driving even with all its quirks. Its an all English car and captures the quintessential perfection of pure motor car joy!
