Lets write something else, maybe Clarkson has become "soft" with the years and forget something, a trully sport car is fast, powerfull, standrt an over all, simple, no luxuries unnecessary for one and only objective: Speed. Sad I can not affort this magnificent machine, a back to to the essential concept on sport cars. Come on Jeremy, old friend, that rocks you are sitting down are the best comparison with the seats of this machine, no one argues, that´s what it is all about, a man's car, we need more of that, Excellent for Mercedes engineers.

I want to report this comment for:

This is not a car meant solely for the race track, and so it is normal to expect more than speed and an uncomfortable ride. BTW - the OED defines "sports car" as a low-built car designed for performance at high speeds. That definition does not exclude a car with seats that don't damage your kidneys.

I want to report this comment for:

The rock comparison was hilarious. My take, once again Mercedes has produced a car with too much power for it to handle (i.e., C63). Comparison with the SLR shows too much wheel spin and lack of ability to efficiently control around bends. Awesome car though, but would rather take the 911 turbo.

It’s flat-out brilliant. It simply steamrollers any rational argument against it
