Ah, the British Camper Van. A miserable little thing I remember going on holiday as a child. Two adults and three rotten children stuffed into a van no larger than most mini-vans. I was the unfortunate wretch stuffed into what passed for a "bed" over the front seats--which May suitable notes has a miserably thin mattress. Forced to accompany our parents on a road trip all over parts of UK, I barely slept for two weeks. I was never so glad to return home. Forty years later, my parents are retired and own one of those enormous American style RVs, with the push-outs and all, which my Mum hates. Riding is more like Sailing; although luxurious, travel is likely to induce motion sickness. Despite being the size of a bus, they're built on cheap truck chassis, and don't have the proper suspension of a real bus. I would still take the miserable British version any day. Perhaps it's time for another road trip...

In Australia we have plenty of good roads to take the American motor home on. Much more preferable than the British version.

James always knows how to give his own, classic twist on things.
