The snowmobiles maybe would have won if they gave more gas down hill.

The VW could have rockets strapped to it and there is no way it would ever finish first against the sleds. Wonder how he set up for the great jump if they finished second. When you press the LOUD switch on a sled---ANY SLED-- time moves faster then you can hang on. FYI --Mr.Clarkson The speed that the track goes around creates heat while the metal track clips run against the polyurethane covered slide rails. Without snow ( lubricant ) the polyurethane gets hot and sticky and this will cause the sled to slow down as rail heats up and grabs the track. Either way they do put a big smile on your face. Seeing that you write a column for the Toronto Star why not come over the big pond and try one of these machines out. You will have a great time. The GREAT WHITE NORTH. It aint like Europe...

Nice to see Top Gear on my own home-turf :) I live just a few miles from there. As for the race, who cares if it was truly a VW win, it was entertaining and it looked fun as hell! Keep it up boys ;)
