We can't get any of these cars in the US except for the GTI. I am glad I picked the GTI over any car sold here :)

I'm seriously considering to get the Golf R because compared to other AWD cars, it holds more cargo, people claim that it's comfortable for long rides and it has better fuel economy than the Evo & Sti. I just want to know how the Golf R gets 19 city/ 27 hwy but the Evo & Sti (even non Sti) only gets 17 city/ 23 hwy? The Golf R even has better fuel economy than the FWD Mazdaspeed 3 which does 18 city/ 25 hwy. Does it run on magic? lol

Well i just got the mk5 R32 and absolutely love it. I'm not so sure if i like the fact that VW replaced the 6 cylinder with a 4. but who knows i might wait a couple of years and get a used one.
