Stuck in loading mode! This is one of several of the new clips on the site that does not work. Someone asleep at the wheel perhaps? I read other posts supposing there are server problems. We like crashes, with cars, caravans, pretty much anything on wheels, but I think I am safe saying none of us are happy with computer crashes - hope you sort this out soon.

What a pretty Caravan. I don't own one, but have had many a happy holiday in the static type. Loving Top Gear, keep on doing what you do.

Hmm, not sure where James drives, but my experience, towing or otherwise, is that I am usually held up by (1) locals doing 40 mph everywhere, (2) HGVs, (3) tractors and horseboxes (I drive a lot on country roads). Last time I was stuck behind a caravan it was because it couldn't go any faster due to the HGV in front. I once found myself towing and head of a queue leaving a 30. So I thought "next layby I'll pull in". Only trouble was as I accelerated up to 50, the queue behind me melted backwards and I never saw them again......

That was brilliant, I had to laugh that even when attached to an Airship the Caravan was still holding people up :-) Hmmm fishfinger sandwich....

James some people like caravaning holidays, various reasons, children and pets and may not like the hussle of flying,on the other hand may not have the money for fancy holidays abroad. Im not saying we are poor, caravans cost money, its choice.. But we are responsable people and stick to the speed limits that are forced upon us. we do think of other road users and pull over. When you have children and pets on board safety comes first, you as well as me knows what happens if a caravan goes out of control. Our safety and others is paramount, dont sent out the message to in-experienced caravaners to go faster. I'm a fan of your shows but this is wearing a bit thin. you guys aint winning any prizes with this one. all the best to the guys. Gavin

In the U.S. of A, where the roads are longer, less well kept and the drivers are generally balancing a cell phone, an Ipod and a tall unleaded mocha with legs, caravans are just one more distraction, but if you are in a hurry (and these blokes generally are) then it would be a bit of a bother.....

Wow Captain, you say the last bit with such passion and I like the differentiation between caravaners and normal people - absolutely hilarious. No one tows at 15 mph as you know and caravans are not the slowest vehicles on the road. Vehicles often hold me up when I'm towing but I don't develop a deep-seated hated of them. I'm an adult not a schoolboy. As for Top Gear using licence fee payers' money to pursue its own agenda, I'd complain if I wasn't laughing my ar*e off.
